Alright, time for a tiny little grouch. (Lives in more of a wastebasket than a trash can.)

Part of the reason I don't sign onto SL much is the fact that it seems like every time I try to, it tells me I have to download an update first. I wouldn't mind if it were quick, but it takes forever. By the time it's finished, I've inevitably lost my patience with it and don't feel like signing in anymore.

I know, I know, they make the program run better or whatever, but it doesn't really matter if I'm not signing on at all because of it, now does it? Grrrrrrr. I have no patience for this sort of thing. It's pissing me off.

K. That's it. Back to your regularly scheduled blogging.

Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuu

Happy Birthday, Paulius. :)
May your year be filled with pie and bling!

So I never promised you a rose garden to be the best blogger ever. Which is good, because clearly I am not. I'm going to have to find things to talk about. Yessss I am. But this is a SL-centered blog, and I haven't signed on much at all. I don't really know why... I'm all sorts of discombobulated lately, though, and I'll add my inactivity on Second Life to the growing pile of things I'm blaming on my discombobulation.

What am I up to? Reading a bunch, working a bunch, trying to get myself back into some good habits. I'm ready for the seasons to change again, or for Ed McMahon to show up on my doorstep with the funding for one hell of a vacation. I'm a wimp when it comes to winter, lemme tell ya.

I don't really have much to say. Just wanted to give a shout-out to my buddy Paulius. Happy birthday! I hope it's been awesome. :)

Edit: P.S. I've been trying to leave notes, but blogspot is misbehaving. So hello to Sunny and Saffyre, who I couldn't manage to leave comments for.

I'm still alive. Christmas has eaten me up, and spit me out with a bow on top. I'm all afroth with ribbon curls or something.

HI. How was your holiday? Tell me all about it. I'm about to go fall face first into my pillow, and not rejoin the land of the living for a solid two-digit-number of hours.

Two posts in one night? My GOD! What is the MEANING of this?

As promised: the AWESOME HAT! The Awesome Hat is the most AMAZING HAT on SL. It's true, my friends.

The legend goes like this: The mythical Paulius and the eccentric goddess Amelia were goofing around (as mythical heroes and goddesses are wont to do) in a sandbox. And Amelia, being most inspired by Paulius' fantastic primladen goods, decided (as all goddesses do at some point) to try her hand at creation.

And lo! The weird crystal ball that foresaw much success for Paulius Designs was born! It foresaw that because an ad for PD was the only picture I had in my inventory at the time. And that was the goddess Amelia's first creation, and it was so-so.

Then the muses blessed the goddess Amelia, and an idea was born. And prims moved beneath her fingers and textures flowed like water at her merest whim, and lo, the Awesome Hat was born. And that was the goddess Amelia's second creation, and it was rockin'.

This is the legend of the Awesome Hat. Tell it to your children, and your children's children, that they might know the wonder.
Paulius got a flexi-skirt maker. I am decidedly pro-flexi, and think this is cause for celebration. In honor of the event: Lo! A blog entry! Granted the snapshots are old old old, but SHHHH. We won't talk about that. We will simply bask in the glory that is flexi.

My bud Paul also recently got a reaaaaaaaaaally neato photo studio. (If you need pictures, you should check him out. IM Paulius Griffith.) I conned, threatened, and generally coerced him into taking mine. (I can be very violent. There's medication for it, but I don't want it. It tastes like slugs, and I'm a wild woman who can't be tamed.)

Of course, Paulius fears me (as any wise man would) and so he conceded and snapped some shots. They came out quite niftily, and if I could figure out how to download them from SL, I'd show you. Because they're pretty. So there.

Not long ago (that's my clever way of saying "it happened, but I can't remember exactly how long it's been.") a milestone was hit. I won at Slingo! Woo! I won a whole 117 Linden. My score was awesome, but I can't remember what it was, and in spite of having three snapshots labeled "Slingo Score" on my hard drive, not one of them is actually of me and my high score. LOST TO TIME. :O

This just in: Candy Land is reopening! YAY! I've missed it. It was the first, and still only, place on SL that I counted as home kind of. I'm glad it's back. Candy says it's in a temporary location for the moment, and she's working on securing a permanent location. Again I say: YAY!

Alright. I was going to write more and share pictures of my adventures in Paulius' AWESOME sleigh (can you tell who I hang out with a lot?) but I'm still in that stretch of being easily tired (I've been sick with the flu, hence my lack of signing on to SL lately, and my lack of updates. Well, okay, the lack of updates is mostly laziness. But shh, I have an excuse for once!) and my attention span just isn't with it tonight.

I love you all! Both. I have a readership! :D It consists of two people! :D I win. :)

Devirginizing the blog! (that sounds so dirty...)

Hello, good people of the internet! It is I, SuperGrov- um. AmeliaGrace!

Alright, so mostly I made a blogger account so that I can pester my dear friend and pie-adoring cohort, Paulius, via yet another online service. But I've also sort of been pondering keeping a blog about interesting stuff I stumble into on Second Life. AND SO, MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS! Here we are. I don't have a good idea yet of what this will become, and it's quite possible it will fizzle and become merely another ghost-town-esque piece of the web, but we must live in the NOW. And thus we'll pretend that I won't flake off on this in a week. :)

I'm still relatively new to SL. Not new enough to partake of the wonders of the Money Tree, but new enough to still say "Oh wow, really?" every time someone explains something to me. And so it is that I just went to my first SL wedding this week. Woohoo!

Who was getting married? My friend Iroc and his ladylove Maria, with whom I worked at CandyLand until it closed not long ago. There were a few people at the wedding that I knew, mostly from the club, and some I didn't. The wedding setup was really pretty, and though the bride's dress was giving her some trouble at the beginning, it was absolutely gorgeous when she finally got it sorted and came down the aisle. I'm still amazed at the stuff people can make on SL. (Ask Paulius about my fascination with flexi. Sigh, flexi. How I love you.) It's pretty amazing to the girl who's pretty sure that computers work by a secret sort of magic, probably involving imps.

Let's see, what else has happened lately? CandyLand closed, as I mentioned. That's a bummer. I worked there, but I actually really liked hanging out there, too. Really nice people. Rumor has it that the club might/will open back up at some point, and I'm hoping for that. It was a cool place, with genuinely cool people.

Speaking of that, now I don't know quite what to do with myself in SL. Before when I couldn't think of where to go, my default option was just to head back to the club and see what was going on there. Now I'm a rollin' stone, I guess. Whereever I go, that is my home. I don't know the rest of the song, so consider yourself spared.

I haven't looked much for another SL job. I probably should - my shopping habit is going to have me broke in very short order - but eh. From what I hear I seriously lucked out with the way cool people at Candy's, and being able to pretty much work when I chose, and all of that... so I think I'm a little wary of trying other places. What does the future hold for AmeliaGrace Zhukovsky? No one knows, but with her trusty cordless showerhead and her AWESOME hat, she forges on, my friends.

She forges on.
